Pale Blue Dot is the work of Benn Jordan, a proficient musician who operates under many pseudonyms, including Human Action Network and more popularly, The Flashbulb. To my knowledge, this is his first attempt at recording a full length ambient record. It’s quite a contrast to his earlier breakcore style, then naturally evolving into a more mature artistic direction, witnessed in Soundtrack to a Vacant Life, his 2008 album released on his own label, Alphabasic. This record sells for a very reasonable price of $13, and worth every penny. I need not shower you with more praise … just listen to it. It’s a record in consistent heavy rotation over here; one of my all time favorite albums. The physical release comes with a poster.

If you like this, you might also like Benn Jordan’s Pale Blue Dot. […]
